Role Overview: Working within the Merchandising department and across the business, the Applications Analyst will collate the requirements of business change initiatives and manage these initiatives to a successful completion. They will help to support the opportunities to shape the future processes, system requirements and data needs.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Managing several applications/projects proactively, being the main point of contact for these.
- Guide on own projects for the team, managing the resources, including the team members such as application coordinators and administrators and collaborate with the developers to ensure deadlines are met.
- Ensure all required project and process documentation is maintained and created for the team, in relation to own projects.
- Suggests improvements in the team’s ways of working and project management. Encourages lessons learnt and reflection on the team on own projects.
- Assist with managing the day-to-day support needs from the merchandising teams on existing applications, in conjunction with the application coordinators and administrators.
- Escalating issues when needed to the applications assistant manager & manager.
- Propose new ideas for merchandising with consideration of other central merchandising teams.
Requirements
- Very well organised – managing own workload and that of the project team working on their projects.
- Confident liaising with various stakeholders in the business proactively, including leading meetings.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written. Able to write comprehensive reports and packs for various audiences.
- Negotiation and influencing skills, to work with stakeholders and ensure that the best possible outcomes are agreed, that are beneficial and achievable.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Promotes a high standard of quality on the team.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Ability to coordinate and prioritise different activities.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Analytical and numerate
